Created at Hyperakt
In collaboration with GOOD Magazine, we created an interactive microsite that served as a guide to vitamins and how they interact with our bodies. The first part of the microsite was a Vitamin Atlas which let users explore the different body systems and their corresponding vitamins. Each body system had a set of animations that illustrated their vitamin interactions. The second half of the microsite was a Vitamin Calculator. The calculator let users input foods they ate throughout the day to see what percentage of vitamins they were intaking. The microsite served as a whimsical and quick understanding of vitamins and our body.
My role began with wireframing the microsite for both the Atlas and Calculator. I illustrated 12 body systems and animated their accompanying set of gifs that distilled the abstract nature of vitamins into bite-size, fun animations.
Illustrations and Iconography
We illustrated 12 body systems as well as key organs like the heart, lungs, and liver. We also created an extensive set of icons for popular foods with high amounts of vitamins.
Vitamin Calculator
The Vitamin Calculator was the second part to this microsite. The calculator allowed users to select the foods they had consumed in a day and computed the foods into their vitamin intake.
